My goal with every session is to honestly and beautifully capture my clients, whether it is a newborn session or a personal branding session. I do this by getting to know my clients and following their lead, while also giving gentle, loose directions to help guide the session. I love interacting and engaging with my clients - that’s one of my favorite parts of my job!

Anywhere - really! I’ve done family and personal branding sessions at the library, bookstores, parking garages, coffee shops, parks (and my home!) Commercial sessions are often done on location at the client’s business, but we can also brainstorm on other locations! My biggest consideration is lighting, as I am a natural light photographer and beautiful light helps make beautiful photos! Choosing the perfect location is such a fun part of planning our time together!

I always (always!) recommend dressing in a way that feels natural and normal for you (and your family!) For family sessions, I typically recommend choosing a color palette that you love and choosing patterns and complementary colors from there! Let me know if you need help with choosing clothes - I’m happy to give feedback and ideas!

I recommend scheduling maternity sessions somewhere around the 32-36 week mark. Newborn sessions are very flexible because of my style of photography. With traditional “posed” newborn photography, babies must be very young to tolerate the positioning. Because my sessions are much more organic and natural, baby will mostly be held and snuggled. They’ll look great at any age!

I offer a very limited selection of mini-sessions throughout the year. Typically, I offer motherhood and fatherhood mini sessions which include the parent and children around Mother’s and Father’s Day, as well as creekside family mini sessions at a local creek during the summer and Christmas light mini sessions at the Lights of the Ozarks.

Yes, my sessions are all-inclusive, meaning you will receive a link to a private online gallery with all of your high-resolution files. You will download your files from that gallery and will be free to print and use as you wish.
